Nearly every card I make has ribbon on it in some form or another. Why is that?
Is it because of SU colour co-ordination?
There is always the right colour, and it always works?
There is no time wasted on searching for the exact colour?
Or is it that when I have a whole reel containing over 9m,
I dare to use some!!!?
Another sneaky peak - stamp and DP - and a grosgrain bow! And of course, the hint of dazzling diamonds glitter. This was so easy, as the stamp does all the hard work. I just used my SU markers to colour the flowers and leaves, Regal rose and Old olive, mounted on Old olive c/s and Regal rose textured c/s.
What a fantastic stamp set! Although one of the more expensive stamp sets in the brochure, this set is worth every penny! When using this set, it is essential to have a Stamp-a-ma-Jig to be able to position the separate stamps in exactly the right place that gives such a wonderful image. Inspired by Monica's blog, My Many many passions......, my dear friend Carri and I , sat down one evening and played with this stamp set and made our own version of the 'Trinket Box'. If you know Carri, hers will always be the blue version of any project!! Thank you for the tip, Monica, for the decorative corners on the box. I have wondered for ages as to how these were done - perhaps a special corner edger - but yet another 'claim to fame' for the Scallop border punch. And so easy!
When I decide to join a card swap, why is it that other important things decide to crop up at exactly the same time? Here's the 10 cards which should have been with Dawn by 28th and I was still actually making them on 29th! My mojo went astray and I just couldn't decide what to make. So kill TWO birds with ONE stone - a sneak preview of some of the Mini goodies (which will be available to buy from 1st April), a little DP and ribbon.
Watch this space for news on the new mini Stampin' Up catalogue, due for release on April 1st and runs concurrently with the main catalogue until the end of September. I am waiting, with anticipation, on the arrival of my pre-order of these little beauties and I can tell you now that they are well worth waiting for!!
If you would like to be able to buy these before 1st April, why not join me and my team, by becoming a Stampin' Up demonstrator? Alternatively, just drop me an email to let me know that you are interested in seeing these new items, or even better, owning them from 1st April onwards - email@example.com .
Have you noticed the addition to my blog? On the left, at the top? I just couldn't keep it secret any longer but....... I actually met Calvin at the weekend and stayed the night!! If you want to find out more, take a look http://www.madimaginations.blogspot.com/. Thanks so much Maddy and Sophia (hope I've spelt it correctly!) for such a wonderful time spent with our mutual friend Denise.
